SK doesn't suck. They are new. That makes them NEW, not BAD! They are super friendly and genuine and very involved on campus. PC 19 has so many cute girls. All of the SKs I know are nice and normal. PNMs need to stop saying SK is somehow bad or weird bc they aren't. Just new to campus. Keep an open mind. Being in a "top tier" house doesn't always equal happiness. Being new doesn't equal bad.

Both Aphi and DG are good houses. Neither have crashed and I'm pretty sure that Aphi is better than DG

the houses are very different, aphi definitely has its perks and pulls a certain type. dg has never had a national scandal like aphi, and is at the top of the grade report, where aphi consistently is at the bottom. aphi also has an awful retention and regularly has to cob. it’ll be a while before sk establishes itself, and I’m pretty sure this is what this post means by aphi “crashing” vs “rising”.

Aside from the APhi national scandal, about two years ago APhi kicked out about half their membership. That's a crash that they still haven't recovered from. DG on the other hand has steadily improved from their "new on campus" status.

Actually DG isn't eligible for COB, and they didn't have to purge half their membership. Like no house ever had to purge half their membership. That's a huge deal and not in a good way.
Houses do care about grades. The selective ones anyway. If you have to purge half your members you are obviously not selective about much.
Dumbest analogy ever about Pike. A frat has nothing to do with sorority rush, unless you are selecting members based on how hot the Pikes will think they are.
Oh wait. Alpha Phi did.

Alpha Phi had to pledge 166 in the fall to try to get to total and still didn't make it. If you are allowed to pledge that many due to losing members, and still need to do COB in the spring, that's a retention problem.
