Honestly to me it seems like they’re trying to lessen the importance of recs. Recs are obviously very useful but they’re supposed to help you, not hurt you, and really at UA they’ve become a box to check that can only hurt you if it’s not. Cutting a girl solely because she doesn’t have a rec isn’t exactly in the spirit of “values based recruitment”

I hope that’s not the reason. If recruitment isn’t “normal” then they should wait until it can be. I honestly don’t see any reason why it can’t be. If amusement park’s can open open up this summer than recruitment should be able happen.

I really do not think national Panhellenic or sorority nationals would allow this. Even if the sorority invite lists would be pretty similar to what they would have been anyways, the PNMs would have to rank houses without ever meeting them and how in the world are they supposed to do that based on something other than what greekrank tells them. Would be terrible for lower ranked houses.
I agree that if we can’t do it in August it’ll just be pushed back fully.

Yeah I didn’t remember them doing these previously so I’m interested to know why they decided to do this.
