What’s the deal with KD?

You never hear anything about KD but they are nice it’s really southern and only takes like legacies

It’s definitely top if you’re from Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, maybe Tennessee and Louisiana. But to anyone else it’s not as appealing. KD definitely has a history of being top house though, before OOS population increased.

It’s a polarizing house. Especially on this website you won’t find much good to say about KD.

From an objective perspective, they are a strong house that is a little less wild then kappa. They are known to be snobby and tend to rush only girls they know personally, but have decent grades and involvement. On campus they are much less hated than it seems in here.

Their main problems are that if you aren’t on their radar for rush, they aren’t as welcoming as other houses. So top girls that aren’t being rushed get turned off by the fact that KD isn’t putting in the same effort that other houses might. Their other major criticism would be that they are super lax and don’t participate in the same way that other houses do in Greek events like Greek week and homecoming. Depends on what you want in a sorority, because most KDs are pretty chill and aren’t as interested in winning homecoming as say chi os or alpha chis might be.

20 years ago they were a top house, but now they’re maybe somewhere between # 5 and # 7. They’re not really known for anything, if that makes sense. They’re not a top grades house, not top in involvement, not top in partying, not top in looks either. They’re just kind of “meh.”
