Curious about Alabama Greek life

Hi people, I go to a school in the Midwest and we only have 7 sororities with like 70 girls in each, and the experience seems so different from down south. I am just curious how things work with chapters of 400+ girls?? Like do you know the names of everyone in your chapter or your pledge class? How do you screen the insane amount of PNMs coming in? Do legacies mean much during recruitment? I am beyond bored in quarantine right now so sorry if this post is stupid this stuff is just interesting to me lol
