Fraternity rush

Do fraternities really care about GPA during rush? Will GPA affect someone’s chances of getting a bid?

If you have to ask the question you should set your priorities. Less than 3.35 means no bid.

No way, some fraternities have a minimum 2.5 gpa. 3.35 seems high to be a cutoff gpa

This is bs. Unless you’re rushing one of the weirdo houses (sig ep and ato), then your gpa won’t really matter. You’ll be fine

Each Fraternity knows how many bids it will give out and will use whatever criteria it deems on determining who will get a bid. All Fraternities are under pressure from nationals to up their grades and be good citizens, so a poor GPA could cost you a bid at desirable house.
