Rankings ???????????
by: JanaWhat were the sorority rankings in the mid 1980s? or Does any one know? Im curious as to how they compare with the rankings now.

first circle really was a thing
KD, AGD and DDD - they threw a party with Budwieser every year and had their own Tshirts for the event - was suppose to be a big deal - KD is the first sorority at Bama
I would also say OX, Phi Mu, ADPi where also good

Theta came to Alabama in 1967. Unfortunately they were the “new” house for a very long time. Phi mu was good but wasn’t old row yet in the 80’s

Lets be real-Old Row didn't realllllly matter until the Yankees came in force. Phi Mu was a good Southern house, even then.

AXO, XO, Tri-Delt
KKG, KD, AGD, Phi Mu
Theta, AOPi, Pi Phi
ZTA, DZ
ADPi, SDT

you obviously didn't go to school here. AOPi has nice girls but they have never ever been a top not even close. old row is not a location.

KD(first sorority at bama, that matters in the south), Alpha Gamma, Chio and the DDD
Kappa is not considered top tier in Alabama- they are dead last or near it at Auburn only get a handful.of in state girls- still rely heavily oON
out of state
PI PHI is middle tier at best and DG had to start over
Zeta middle tier at best
Truthfully though all the houses at bama are good but you asked for history

We all know KD gets the girls from mobile cut from Kappa. And chi o gets KD’s leftovers. I’m in another old row house not mentioned above and even I know that.

Not in either sorority, Just stating the facts. Kappa is good house and amongst the best at Bama. Zeta is just a tab better.

Phi Mu was good but not top
ADPi has slipped not sure why
Kappa was never the top tier - but they are good
Zeta Pi Phi are good middle tier sororities just like in the 80s
DG had to start over
DZ was better in the 80s but they are working their way back up
honestly there are no bad sororities at Bama but as previously stated you asked for history

ADPi has bounced up and down over the years. Today they're probably the strongest they've ever been, but according to what I've heard (from relatives and family friends) they were solid middle/lower middle in the '80s. Definitely never above AXO/KKG/Phi Mu.

Ok, what about houses like Zeta, DG, Pi Phi and Aphi? I heard theta was a top house back then too and PM used to be mid tier
