Join a fraternity
by: Ni just got accepted to bama i’m coming from new york and want to join a fraternity which ones should i check out? I heard that people from new york aren’t liked much down there

Guys who are nice, don't run their mouth, and are down to earth are usually liked.
New yorkers usually don't fit that bill.
But if you're a decent guy you will can find one that will bid you.
All the university ave houses are good to join: Sigma Nu, Fiji, Beta, DKE, SAE, KA, ATO, Phi Psi, SigEp, Phi Delt, Sigma Chi, Theta Chi, Pi Kapp, and Pike.
No one else on campus matters.
DKE, KA, and SAE will be hard to join if you're not a legacy and not southern.

ALL the university houses are considered a JOKE ONLY the inbred bama natives aren't embarrassed by being a member All THE TOP FRATERNITIES ARE ON JEFFERSON and it's been like that for years....Jefferson houses admit people on LOOKS and PERSONALITY that unfortunately eliminates most native Alabaman but you will find a lot of east coast, west coast, Texans and ALL the better looking bamans in JEFFERSON

If you’re from the north you’ll probably be more interested in Jefferson/new row frats, you don’t have to be in a university/old row to have a good time. If you get multiple bids, choose the guys you see yourself becoming best friends with, not just the ones that “get girls” or “party the hardest”.

Fraternities are not hung up on south versus north like the Sororities. You will find people from all over the USA in pretty much all the Fraternities. Yes, there are a few Fraternities that are old south driven with its members KA, SAE and DKE but outside of that you will be welcome in any other house.

Kinda, it’s still a lot harder to get a bid from a University house if you’re far oos because they give out the vast majority of their bids during the spring and summer. And most of the time guys from the north don't know that and honestly wouldn’t really have any way of knowing that unless they already know someone that goes here
