Why are they taking Spring pledges? That just spells “we can’t keep girls”

They always take spring pledges and really everybody should. We all lose members for various reasons. It would make sense for everyone to have a spring rush.

Well the upside is this pledge class May go all out for their new PC next year and make it right again.

Interesting that Always says everyone should take spring pledges. Looking at the Spring 2019 grade report only the lowest Member GPA's took spring pledges 13-Sigma Delta Tau, 15-Delta Zeta, 16-Zeta Tau Alpha, 17-Gamma Phi Beta, 18-Sigma Kappa, and 19-Alpha Phi. Add in 9-Kappa Alpha Theta who took 1.
It is also laughable that our school is so easy that one sorority had 41% of their members make the President's List (4.0) and the lowest percentage was 13% making a 4.0.
Most schools don't even list that because it is so hard to even make 4.0's. I guess having a system with +/- helps that some and many schools don't have that but when I came here from the North with a full ride my friends going to Ivy and top tier schools laughed and said I would be bored with no academic challenge and they were right. I guess I can laugh at them when they graduate with debt.

The grade report should not mean that houses should not look at taking on new spring members. One has nothing to do with the other. It would make good business sense to replace those members who left. Everyone needs more dues-paying members and spring recruitment is a lot less stressful that fall. Many campuses have very organized spring recruitment. I think there is such a stigma that spring recruitment means a bad sorority. Just not so. That was my point.
