letters of recommendation
by: PnmI’m a Midwest PNM and I’m wondering when I need to start getting letters of recommendation. Am I only allowed to get alumni letters or are active member recommendations okay?

Depends on the individual sororities policy on whether actives can write recommendations but if you know someone who who is a collegiate member in a chapter at Alabama that will be super helpful. Contact your local Panhellenic Alumni Association and they can help you with getting recommendations from alumni. Just know that some organizations are tightening up on who you can write recommendations for and they may have to personally know you in order to do so.

Thank you! When should I start taking these steps? I know registration for recruitment isn’t for another couple of months, but I’d like to start earlier rather than later.
