You should probably look places other than on-line then. There are a ton of Dead fans in schools all across the US.
They got their start in California and kids I know from the big schools out there won't let you forget it. One of their largest fan bases is in the NE with Ivies being a big part of that.
Sorry to disappoint your weird attempt at an insult.

I don't see Pikes in Florida and Ivy League Old Money Frat guys go crazy for them.
Southern Greek Life seems to like Grateful Dead a lot for some reason.
