greek life and med school

Incoming freshman and I want to go to medical school. How uncommon is it for frat and sorority members to get in to medical school? Is greek life too much of a time commitment for a pre med?

It doesn’t matter. If you have the grades. You will get into med school.

If you have good time management skills you will be okay, especially if you join a house with members that value your ambition with some of them doing the same then they will help lift you up and encourage you. Check out GPA's of each house and talk to members who are doing the same major and you will see. The biggest time commitment is during the new member/pledging process.

DDD has a pretty high number of girls who go to med school. There seems to be a couple every year. A few years ago the Homecoming Queen was a DDD and also went to med school the following year.
