how much do grades and test scores help in rush

i’m planning on rushing at alabama next year and was wondering if having a high gpa and act actually matters in the rush process? my gpa is 3.9 and my act is 32 for reference

It definitely matters but it is not the end all be all. It shows that you will most likely make grades and can handle the schedule of sorority life. Not all houses care but most do, you will at least make it to the second round of a few houses bc you are not a grade risk and then most likely not a QR

My house didn’t look at test scores

Significantly, I know I was cut from a lot of houses because of my Gpa

in my case it didn’t really matter. had a 32 and a 4.4 and got cut by every OR house but one and one NR after IWT.

to clarify i was cut by one NR, not all but one ^^
