Gamma is a great group of girls who get constantly put down. I have talked to many PNM's who love them and I think they deserve higher on this list. Great girls.

It doesn't matter where your sorority is ranked. It's about sisterhood. You will have pretty girls in every house, sweet girls, not so pretty, outgoing/not as social, girls that like to party/girls that don't, thin/over weight. Every house has this mix. Make the most of your greek experience and you will be happy! Rankings don't matter. Girls who are insecure look for rankings to make themselves feel important. That's it. No other reason. If you feel you are a better sorority, and you truly are, you don't have to keep telling people where you are in the rankings. It's like having to show off how much money you have. People that are from real money think it's tacky to flaunt it.

Amen to that. Using money as a crutch to get you status in life is just plain laughable. Some of the wealthiest people in the world are unknown for their money. In fact, they take pride in keeping it a secret. If you feel good about yourself, you have no internal need to put others down. In fact, you do just the opposite by building people up!

Rank at Alabama has a lot to do with Alabama history and culture. It's different for different regions of the state and there are certain houses that girls from Alabama deem are too low for them to pledge. All this looks ridiculous to the out of state girls who see amazing houses filled with outstanding girls. The ranks in this comment are the opinion of someone who has likely never been out of Alabama. That's not bad, but it's not reality either.
