how many houses

just curious if everyone was going back to 3,2, or 1 parties today.
i got 3 but 2 of them were fore houses i didnt list. happy though.
how did everyone else do?

I encourage all yall to keep an open mind. I got back my first choice and my last choice too. My first choice made me think that I had a lock on a bid but I put both to make sure. I got my last choice. At the time I was devastated. I ended up accepting the bid and deciding to see what it was like. My mom reminded me that I wasn't a quitter and that I'd started recruitment because I wanted to be in a sorority. I can honestly say that I love my house now and that I've had so many leadership and other opportunities that I wouldn't have had in my first choice house. Did it sting? You bet it did, but now I'm happy because I now that this is where I can shine. I think I've improved things for my house and am so glad my mother pushed me into making the best of it.
Just a note. Of the people I knew that dropped out of recruitment or refused a bid, thinking that they'd get something they liked better later, only one did. Most didn't get a house at all ever. That's not terrible, of course, but it you want to be in a house, this is your best opportunity.

This is true! Don't suicide thinking if it doesn't work out you can try again for next year. It works out for some girls, but there are plenty of upperclassman who wish they would've joined their last choice over being in affiliated. Even bottom tier have swaps

It's true that it never works out to wait. I don't know a single person that it worked for. If you went through once and got cut by houses, most have a rule "cut once, cut forever." You're not ever going to get a bid there. So look at what you have and decide to make whatever house you get the best one at Bama!

good luck. i had a cut from 6 to 2 today and they were my top and last one. weird how that works. i am putting them both down after pref are you?
