the problem with ranking pcs
by: rtr
There's a big, obvious issue with ranking all the brand spanking new pledge classes, or even heavily factoring them into the whole house's ranking:
WE GROW AND LEARN AND CHANGE SO MUCH IN COLLEGE/IN THE SORORITY EXPERIENCE. College freshmen right now are going to become totally different people within the next four years. And this is a GOOD thing! Going to college and being on your own, and being in a sorority, changes a person, usually for the better. You learn confidence and self-care and how to prioritize your time, and these factors make for happier people, which leads to kinder, more driven/ambitious, more physically attractive people.
Are you the same person you were when you went through rush as a freshman? I can 100% say that I'm sure not. These girls have so much personal growth ahead of them, so it's completely pointless to rank them right now or say which one is the "best" pledge class. They have just been thrown in a situation that is meant to help them thrive and become better versions of themselves, so stop debating over who is the "top" group at this very moment. There is still SO much more to come for them in college.
PC 19's of every house I am so excited to see all you accomplish both for this Panhellenic community and as individuals!
