by: STOPHow can you rank pledge classes and compare them to one another? Do you think all the sororities are looking for the same type of girl? Do they all have the same GPA requirement? Is GPA even a requirement for some? Are they all concerned about taking girls that are standards concerns/risks? Does that matter to them all? Don’t some sororities focus on the hot, party girls? While others focus on the cute, girl next door. There are sororities that focus on Alabama girls and others that are more diverse. How do you even compare them? You can’t!

For Old Row, they do all compete for the same girls. So it is absolutely killing KD, Kappa and DDD that the girls they wanted pledged Alpha Chi, Chi O, Alpha Gam and Phi Mu.
But you can really only compare Old Row to each other. New Row doesn’t have such a narrow group of girls they are after. Almost every New Row house did AMAZING!
Great rush for everyone! (Except KD, Kappa and DG). Sorry y’all, it there’s always next year.

Yes it is very true that there are a number of pnms that many or houses are “competing” for. Not every single one of those pnms ends up in one single or house. They end up scattered all over the row! Sometimes that top pnm looks great on paper and on social media, but when she comes through rush and actually talks to the girls in those house, some houses decide, “hey you know what she actually isn’t a good fit here because she didn’t click with the girls she talked to.” That pnm no longer is a top for that house; she may have been a top initially, but that changed during recruitment. TOP PNM STATUS CAN CHANGE DURING RUSH. There are also rush finds, hidden gems within the 2000 girls rushing! An unknown can end up being a top pnm because she clicks with the girls in the house.

So right. Here is the thing. All we know is who wanted who and who went where, so who prevailed in hundred of individual little competitions. Not perfect, when those who are here give ranks they are sort of putting out there the usual pecking order on who normally gets what and who did get what this year. Hope that helps.
