pcs with discussion

Top—AXO, PM, ZTA, XO and AGD: Each of these houses either held serve and pulled a top PC in line with recent years or made a surge up into the top group by exceeding what they have done in the past, PM clamping down on rep and grade risks, AXO getting a little bit easier on the QR acceptances and XO and AGD pulling more from OOS than usual. No need to talk about the old row houses on top. The remarkable thing is the major move by ZTA that has been a couple of years in the making. Even though they still have attrition due to so many OOS, they have some sort of intangible “it” factor and freedom from local alums and Bizzy-bodies to take some targeted grade or rep risks.

Lower Top— DDD, PBP, Kappa, KD: DDD and Kappa had a good couple of rushes but they reverted back to some old patterns. DDD had risen on accepting some QR, but they seem to have retrenched back to the old ways. Kappa sort of fell into the ditch on their standards, so they have a very good looking group but also many that fell from other old row or ZTA in the top group. PBP was steady and improved from last year but could not get many away from ZTA or the top, but very respectable. KD is on here on general house quality and reputation (sort of a pity ranking) but they got all their top girls, but the “fillers” are a random mix and snaps.

Upper Middle: ADPi, DG, GPhi, APhi: ADPi fell off from last year but probably because they had sisterhood issues last year and they imposed stricter standards. DG and GPhi have consolidated recent gains and are getting very established. APhi improved a bunch and they are going back to the beauty focus, but with more attention to standards.

Middle: AOII, KAT, DZ: I feel kinda bad putting these three here because they did great. Very good classes. There is quality throughout but also a lack of depth. The new homes were definitely a big plus to level the playing field. It will be interesting if they push back up and build on the momentum from this recruitment. Nice job ladies.

Lower Middle: SK is alone here but it is not their fault. They got a solid group by all appearances and chatter and many that could have joined more established new row houses. They also are so new, it is not really fair to expect better. They did as well as they could have under the circumstances.

Not bad. Don’t have pity on KD. They would not have pity on you....

Phi Mu took another hit in the looks department but they got more well rounded girls! I’m waiting to see on Zeta because while they are a stunning pc, people thought PC 17 was just outstanding and it was actually a mess of terrible reps. It could go that way again or it may pan out like Tri Delt PC 17 which was QRs gone good, same could happen to Kappa’s cute but questionable new members.

Zeta, XO, and PBP got great pledge classes, probably better than in previous years. DZ and Theta got much better pledge classes than they have gotten in the past. ADPi, PM, AXO, and DG went down a little. AGD and DDD performed about as normal. KD and KKG both had off years. APhi got a good looking pledge class full of grade risks and QRs but that is typical for their pledge class, Gamma Phi didn't do quite as well as last year, but still respectable. AOPi is still struggling. SK had a great first real rush.

The best part was that the girls all looked excited to be where they ended up. I loved seeing everyone run to their new homes and be celebrated by the people who worked so hard to bring them in. Lets all celebrate these great new girls and hope they bring lots of good qualities to the places where they pledged.
