What is the reasoning behind the girls not being allowed to go to bars till after initiation? I have never drank nor do I plan on doing so but I’ve just heard this around and am confused on why this is a rule. Thx!

Because it could be construed as hazing in certain scenarios. Also, it is important to get your drinking grammar right: I drink, I drank, I have/had drunk.
