They are strict about grades. I know they were sad about dropping several awesome girls whose gpa was low. They don’t even initiate until after first semester grades.

They have the highest return rate on the row so they have to drop a ton of girls every round

Don’t take it personally! That is a really tough house to get into. Just keep moving forward with the options you have. I promise you will find your place by the end of the week.

They have a ton of legacies and are one of the top three sororities nationally, so they have to make huge cuts in the beginning and GPA is the easiest way to cut early on. It’s nothing you did wrong this week. Just focus on the houses you have left. There are some great options that would love to show you their sisterhood!

They are not one of the top three sororities nationally. lol

In fact bama is one of the few campuses nationally where they recruit in the top third.

Top three nationally are definitely Kappa, Tri Delt and Chi O. You saying that it’s not true doesn’t make it so.

Sorry!! Chi O has the most chapters, and are strong nationally, but NOT top 3. They have a VERY WEAK presence on the East and West Coasts.
Theta and Pi Phi are VERY strong nationally...maybe not at a few Southern schools, but VERY GOOD Coast to Coast.

Probably because they all smell so bad so they are only taking girls who don’t know how to shower

House is filled with legacies and hometown friends quality or not. They don't really have a lot of control over who they take. Don't take it personally they miss out on so many great pnm. It makes for really weird pledge classes. You'll see how that impacts them once you are around campus for a few weeks. They will never be a top house like AXO or PM until they start having more say in taking girls who were not previously known.

jealous little AXO or PM troll obviously.

If the moms of kd kappa ChiO ddd AGD hate AXO and pm, it is obvious to pnms that this hate Did not pass to their daughters. Y’all need to back off the negativity, because i have not seen at all this week

Post 8 nailed it for xo and AGD also has an overbearing set of outside control. AXO and Kd too. The moms and alums still run recruitment in those houses from what i can tell from friends talking during the year and frustrated when they see, like a random awesome new row girl killing it. They will say, we loved her but could not take her because cuz xyz. the xyz would be moms nosing in. Many great houses do not have this problem. We all hate grade cuts but we can accept them in principle because they are less random or connections focused

Our daughter loved XO, AXO, DDD, Zeta, Alpha Gam, AOTT, and Pi Phi. She is going to 12 parties for this round. She is already torn. So many great choices!

As a top house, Chi O has to make major cuts since their return rate is quite high. It gives the Luther houses a better chance of having great recruits.
