If you could see yourself fitting in with the gphi girls, then go with them. They're really sweet, and they're making a great name for themselves lately. The girls in gphi love it, and that's what counts.

If you can't see yourself fitting with them (and be completely honest with yourself), then drop. However, if you're getting cut big time this year, I doubt next year will be any better for you.

...you think you will be unhappy and can't have a positive attitude, don't do it. There is no sense in wasting an entire year being unhappy. And, that pertains to any sorority!

We don't know because we have no idea how you personally feel about being apart of that house. And no offense, but coming on here trying to make a decision based on anonymous posts is not a good idea. All the sororities here are great, and if you are really going through rush here then you know that. GPhi has great girls and is a great house. Like everyone has been saying on here all week, it's an honor to be a part of any sorority at UA. Only you can decide if you feel comfortable in a house or not. And bids haven't been given out yet so nothing is for certain at this point.

Your negative attitude about a wonderful house makes me hope gphi will drop you. Seriously, every house is great, and it is an honor to be a member of any sorority. Now cut the attitude and go in to these next few days with an open mind.

GPhiB is building a gorgeous house and has wonderful members. If you like them, heed your heart, not what's said here.
But if you are going to go to their pref, put them on your pref list but then turn up your nose at a bid or not even go to the house...don't be mean. Don't put them on your list. Or withdraw right after the pref parties.
If you get a bid and turn it down, you can't participate in COB or even be consider until the next formal recruitment. And seriously, records are kept, and everybody knows you rushed last year and where you got a bid that you turned down. Not cool.

i think alabama is by far one of the best campuses where every house is really good. there will be 100 girls in your pledge class butlike everyone else said if you are going to be embarrassed than let the girls who love gamma phi have their spot. try and not to get wrapped up in tiers. seriously

don't let others influence your decision too many people say they are a loser sorority that is so mean..if you like the girls that should be all that matters..

If you're on greekrank, that's really your problem. Otherwise, the whole tier thing doesn't mean much. You will know girls from every house and guys from every house.If a guy wants to go out with you, he will, regardless of your house. There isn't anything that holds you back. EXCEPT for your own attitude. If you don't have self confidence, you will look to a house to build you up and make you proud. If you do have self confidence, you'll love you house and want to build it up. Only you know what you've got.

The girls of gamma phi are awesome and it would be an honor to be apart of their sorority. Unless you feel you don't click with them personally, there's no rational reason for someone to not want to be a member. I have friends in this house and they make the entire Greek system at UA proud!
