You must realize this and be determined to be happy in any house, because houses pick you. Ranks are not real because there are too many OOS students and houses are too big to maintain any type of “specialness”. You will find a fit in any house.

You statement is somewhat correct. Rank does not really matter to Old Row because they, along with everyone else, knows they are THE TOP. Rank only matters to the other houses trying to climb the ranks. What's the old saying? Winners concern themselves with winning and losers concern themselves with winners.
