pnm grades

by: rolltide

I have a GPA of 2.8 in high school and I’m an upcoming freshman going though rush and I’m from Mobile. What are my chances of getting into any sorority house at Alabama?

Grade cuts will be steep, but if you go in with a good attitude and have good conversations you will probably get into A house. It just might not be the one you want.

Very difficult to get in with a low GPA. Best thing to do is address it upfront and talk about WHY it was low in his and how you intend to keep up academically in college. “I’ve heard that sororities have mandatory study hall and this will be good for me. I am majoring in _______ and I already have a plan for how I’m going to get good grades.” If GPA.

This gives the person who was your sorority “hostess” something to say when others object to you on basis
of GPA... if she likes you!

Yeah that may help but I know in my house especially for iwt, if you don’t have our grade requirement you’re gone. A few exceptions are always made (someone’s sister, a lot of seniors rush crushes, a high leadership/PR potential...) but generally it’s already written in the files for you for round one at my house.

My daughter had the same gpa and after IWT only got 5 houses back. You will definitely get houses back just won’t be top tier which doesn’t really matter bc there are great girls and fun times in every sorority.
