dz and theta

Be s loser like me and go back to the beginning of the posts here and look when gphi was in that spot. Things change all the time....

Certainly this site does not help. but I personally think all our houses are great, so I do not get why any house gets bashed.

I was looking at grade reports recently, as we all do, and wondered the same. For example, I noticed that Theta's size, retention rates (drops), grades, and COB numbers were better than several other houses, some even mid-ranked. I was surprised, so I flipped back a couple of reports and the numbers seemed the same. Tbh, on campus, I've known them to be a low drama and fairly smart house, but go to GR and they are always bottom.

Why is that? Is it because they built a house last? Is it because they are not machine?

Sort of wonder if the tent talk works a little in Theta's favor. When I think of superficial house, their house does not come to mind. Perhaps the PMMs so easily swayed and shaken out by opinions of strangers talking smack in PNM tent groups is one of the reasons they do not have that rep. I'm thinking (especially as we move to a more academically competitive environment) that there are women who pick up the difference and are looking for that opposite.

As for their rep, they are a typical new row house, which has always meant heavier OOS. They have a very good national rep, so the choicest PNMs coming their way have prob always been heavy OOS. Of course in the past, an OOS welcoming house would be looked down upon by the old "Bama only" focused houses and still is by all the old Bama biddie alumna on GR, but we all know thoughts on OOS have changed in a big way. Hhst is hood for them and all NR houses.

One more post to bring down girls and then accuse others who try to speak truth of self ranking. There is only a bottom because of silly ranks that need to try to put others up. DZ and Theta do get ranked lower on here but they are in no way lower quality people or anything less than outstanding people. I know DZ had a dip in numbers since I have been on campus but their new house helped (it's gorgeous) and should do it again. Their sisters are genuine, fun, and kind.

Theta is no where near a the bottom like you read here. Their girls are extremely involved on campus and their grades are great. This site tries to destroy them and it does keep them lower than the sum of all their parts would imply (grades, involvement, looks, personality) and that is because of fear.Their looks are just like 12-14 other houses that take real world girls for all they bring to the house, not just their looks. They have the beautiful girls and average girls just like my house but I do think they are more invested in showing all of their sisters and being authentic instead of just featuring 30-40 of their most beautiful sisters on their insta. That shows a lot of respect and I imagine their sisterhood is strong as a result. My freshman suitemate is a theta and I was impressed with her friends. Those that I hung out with were tons of fun and one of my best study partners is a theta. I feel the need to defend them here because I know that what is written is so off base. When I took her with me to things with my sisters there was literally no difference between us except I am an OR legacy and she is from far away.

The machine works hard to push them down and all the girls who buy that machine crap do their bidding. This includes alums and moms. It doesn't carry over to campus but does impact recruitment where there is tent talk. We all know that the machine is corrupt and yet we allow them to control us. There are so many more of us that I think we should pull that power away. Why don't we? Because people worry that we will be the next target like theta. Without theta being made the example of what happens when you don't join there would be many other houses breaking away. The machine KNOWS this. There isn't a chapter on campus that hasn't had side conversations or even full house discussions about the machine and in our house it always turns back to... but theta. If we ALL left the machine theta would instantly move up many places in the ranks and that scares the other houses. And yet theta continues to persist and make us look a little weak for not having their courage to stand by our principles. This gives a lot of motivation for more insecure girls to put them down to justify and make themselves feel better for needing the protection of the machine. Theta stands by their sisters and stands on the right side of this machine crap. I know many girls in my house that respect that about them.

It does suck that the machine and their reps have power in our houses. I do not like have strongly recommended in-house and on campus candidates picked for me and it has lead to quiet, and not so quiet, discussions in my house.

We all know Theta is punished by the machine on Greekrank specifically to keep others from dropping out and some probably have good reasons to be intimidated. But, I do wonder why strong houses, especially the houses that specifically recruit high grades like AXO or XO, have not left.

I do think (hope) dome will leave soon.

All the sororities are in the machine but Theta. Are they excluded from parties? Do all the frats shun them? Do they have less opportinities to get involved on campus? That sounds terrible. No wonder they are at the bottom.
