by: Tell the truthSeriously people, who do you think is on her posting rankings if it isn’t sororities or sorority alums self-ranking. Does anyone think there is a large group of non-Greeks out there just waiting to rate the Greek sororities? The rankings clearly show old row sororities are concerned they are losing their edge or they wouldn’t always be ranked at the top. They want to convince all the PNMs that old row is superior, when the reality is they Aren’t any more special than any other house. Find your best fit and forget about the ranks- they are created by a bunch of pathetic girls who are trying to convince you they are superior.

Every year the tropes come out that new row will is making a charge and all the oos are rendering old row houses less than traditionally the case. Every year old row houses dominate and grow their oos presence. What is happening is old row still gets the top pnms, oos, or, in-state or from Europe... but keep trying. Old row houses with exception of maybe kd and agd, are primarily oos. New row actually has tons of in state (just not the top ones) My point is this: the quality difference is obvious during recruitment and the “‘market” decides. The Greek Rank PR strategy never ever makes a difference

I agree with some of the things you said but there is one thing I don't think you understand. The OOS girls absolutely don't care about our religion of OR and NR. Our favorite top OR houses are ones that are on the bottom in nearly every non-Southern state. They don't really want these houses that have left the campuses in their states because they can't attract enough new members. I think most of the top OOS pnms will give the OR houses a good look, but those houses have a lot to overcome before top OOS girls are interested. Unfortunately for Zeta, although they're a mid house in Texas, most places they're near the bottom, too. So they have the same problem.

No need for the shade on Alpha Gam. AGD is a fantastic house, First Circle and has always been top here. Their girls are super smart, involved on campus and have a great sisterhood. Any PNM would be lucky to get a bid from AGD. This is Bama and Alpha Gam always has been and always will be strong on this campus.

Throw shade? Okay mom. Alpha Gam is definitely slid in the past few years. First Circle means nothing anymore. Would I rather be an Alpha Gam than a Zeta? Yes. Would I rather be an Alpha Gam than a Kappa, XO, KD or AXO? No I would not.

It might be just me and my friends, but several of us thought AGD put on a great rush (two years ago) and we all went to sisterhood there. A few did pref there too. They are super sweet during rush and honestly do a great job. The problem is not with recruitment but life after you are there. They have an odd mix of members, many of which are outwardly sweet but are judgey to a fault. The house is not relevant socially and the vibe is to become a wallflower, blend into the surroundings and chase ATO guys around. All but one of my friends feel so lucky we went in different directions. That said, for the southern girl that is, at heart, kinda introverted and academic -- this may be the perfect fit. If you want more and want to blend academics, faith and fun, there are other options that may fit better.

I’m a PNM from Atlanta and my friends and I say “rush.” What should we be saying - “recruitment”? That sounds so formal.

This is so dumb. When we are typing or even talking most of us say rush. Yes, we all know it is formal recruitment but come on. Only Panhell reps insist on saying recruitment.

You nailed it. Zeta is the worst for coming on here trying to say how unwelcome OOS girls will feel in Old Row. They try to say that Old Tow doesn’t matter anymore.
Well, it still does and it still will 20 years from now too. AGD is probably the worst Old Row house and girls would still rather have a bid from them than top of New Row.
Zeta will always pull their pledge classes from the Old Row leftovers and posting on greekrank will not change that. Girls can see it day one of recruitment.
