pnm with low gpa

Have the sororities already looked at our transcripts and gpas yet? I had an okay GPA in high school so I’m mostly just rushing in the fall to see if it is something I would be interested because idk if I would be able to get a bid. But the house that I really want a lot of the girls have been following me and girls from a lot of others sororitys have been following me too. So I was wondering if they already know our gpas yet or not? Also if I have amazing conversations and connections will I still get a bid with a 3.0 gpa

if you're super hot with a 3.0 you might get a bid at a bottom of the barrel house like alpha phi... they consistently have the lowest gpa

You’ll be fine if you have great convos and look well dressed and demonstrate great personality. Do expect cuts though.

It really just depends on the sorority. My house cut every girl below a 3.0 before recruitment even started last year. Some were absolutely gorgeous and really sweet. Not every house is like this, however gpa's have been a strong influencer lately

There’s multiple sororities who have grade cuts at 3.2 or 3.3. You’ll have to expect grade cuts coming.

If you have a 3.3 or below expect cuts after the first round and then again after second round. Some houses it will vary, but many houses are trying to get overall GPA up so are making more decisions on GPA. When I rushed with a low GPA I didn't connect with any houses I had left on sisterhood so dropped, got my grades up freshmann year to a 3.7 and worked hard to still have a social life with it too. Rushed again my sophomore year. Im now an alumni and stayed with my house sophomore-senior year and loved it!

Good advice on here. I would wait and either cob or rush next year after you get a good start

Honestly if you are below high school 3.0 you need to wait till next year. Priorities
