poll: how many houses dropped you after round 1?

I’m so nervous about recruitment and am terrified I’ll get dropped by everyone. Curious how bad the first round of cuts were on any actives here.

Not sure, had a full card but two of my top choices obviously dropped me and I don’t know if some of the ones I ranked lower dropped me or not. Probably so... What I do know is I ended up exactly where I belong and I love it!!!!

I went 16-6-3-1. Only preffing one can be tough in that you don’t feel like you have a choice at all. I’ve come to like my house but I do feel like I would have fit better elsewhere. You really can’t be upset about it though, it is what it is. I wanted to be in a sorority and I am.

To address your concerns, it’s really unlikely you’ll totally be dropped from rush unless you have terrible grades or like, smell really bad or something.

People tend to remember how many remain on their card. And maybe a house or two that they really wanted that drop them, even if I others replace them to provide a full card.

I guess I’d rather see a poll that asks How many full cards with all the houses you wanted, how many foull cards, how many moderate cuts, and how many deep cuts early on\n\n\n\n\n

I went 16-11-6-3. I was pleased with my philanthropy choices ( kinda bummed that only one “looks” house kept me and I got dropped by the three that are tops in grades- I had a 3.6). I was miserable (at first) for sisterhood. I wondered where my top 2 choices went, I questioned what I did wrong during philanthropy, and I was left with only two of my next favorite houses. I shook off those feelings of inadequacy and went into those six houses looking for sisters. I was happy with my three houses for pref and would have been happy in any of them. I know now that my “cards” were actually very good, even though I was on a roller coaster of emotions.

These results are messed up.

There is no way this many girls get ALL of there top choices in order just as they ranked them after IWT.

This many may get full cards for Philanthropy, and maybe that’s how people are answering. Or maybe this many don’t get dropped by the few that they really wanted after IWT/open houses.

But from what I observed in my Rho Chi, very rare to get every house just as you ranked them. \n\n\n\n\n

I only got dropped by 1 first round, I don't remember how many I was dropped from 2nd round but it was several. I preffed the 2 I ranked top 2. I got the sorority that was my first choice on day one but I was dropped by some I liked. I would have been happy in either of my top 2.
