So I'm a Sophomore at Alabama with a GPA of a little under a 3.1 and I'm rushing this Fall. I'm worried that since I'm not a Freshmen and my GPA isn't spectacular that I won't get a bid from a sorority. Does anyone know the chances of me getting a bid?

I'd like to know where you got that number. I think you'll be fine. My sister went through with a 3.2 as a sophomore and she did fine. I'm going in as an UC, too. Do UC pnms typically have really high gpas?

I'm not sure if they do or not. I know that the recommended GPA is a 3.0 or higher but that's all I've seen.

typically have lower gpas because college is harder than high school. I don't know an average gpa for UC, but it's usually lower than freshmen

probably have a better chance than all the freshmen with the "I have a 2.5 gpa but I totally went to a tough school" posts

Even if your GPA is good, most OR houses cut you automatically as a sophomore. Whoever on Panhellenic tells you that rushing as a sophomore is a good idea are basically lying to you- there’s a stigma no one wants to acknowledge. I think it’s unfair how a freshman legacy who does not belong in a certain house whatsoever takes it from a deserving sophomore, but that’s just my opinion.
