why does ddd have the fewest members of or?
by: SeriouslySeriously asking: I keep seeing that DDD is top three but they have so few members compared to the other OR sororities. Is this because they are more selective or people drop out after awhile?

They are a strong house but not top. A few rushes, they have cut too hard in the beginning and then didn’t have as many want them as they expected. DDD is a particular taste like KD or AXO but for very different reasons. I definitely like DDD better than either of those two

Because they’re not top three and we have been trying to tell you that. Every house is forced to take enough girls to meet quota, so when you see a house with lower numbers, it shows how many have dropped since they all give out the same number of bids.
So a house with lower membership numbers either shows a problem with their sisterhood or that their girls are transferring to other schools.

DDD is not top three. Maybe top six.
So much alum self ranking on here. DDD is a weird mix of old Birmingham money and recently have been pledging more artsy chill types. That mix doesn’t work for everyone so they’ve lost a lot of girls. They are no better than the rest of Old Row no matter how many of them come on here and say they are.

They took the smallest pledge class last year and with taking so many OOS risk loosing girls who transfer if the school isn’t the right fit for them. Also have to look at graduation rates, study abroad, and members who go inactive for a semester. Goes for any house that has any kind of number change from semester to semester. Guessing next year they might take a bigger pledge class but who knows

DDD is a top three house, take into account campus involvement, good grades, social life, and sisterhood. There will always be people that have problems with certain houses. Often the small amount of people speaking negatively try to shout over the crowd because everyone else knows that to be consistently ranked top speaks for itself, as it does with other top houses as well.
However on another note, yes top tier sororities have their place for a reason, but I think going into rush PNMs take these ranks too seriously. You need to go into it with an open mind to find out where YOU would be happiest and fit in. You could end up in a "top" house and drop because you didn't feel at home. Trust the process and listen to your gut feelings during rush. They are more important than posts from strangers online.

Looking at the available reports on the UA site, all the top houses seem to fluctuate year or year but all stay in the same basic number range.
