Both top tier houses. One is not better than the other. Slightly different personalities but to be honest, I get these houses confused sometimes. You would be very lucky to get a bid at either.
Was this post was supposed to get these houses to start throwing dirt at each other?

I get that if you are from certain cities in Alabama and maybe certain other big southern cities, or if your mom is telling you where to pledge, you may think that these (along with Kappa and maybe Alpha Gam) are the only top sororities. But honestly, it’s a different world now.
With over 400 girls in every house, I can assure you that there are old money and new money girls in every house. There are beautiful and average girls in every house. And there are smart and dumb girls in every house. You do not have to be in one of these houses to make “connections” any more.
Please come to rush with an open mind. You may end up liking one of these two houses best, and if you do, then great. I hope you get a bid. But you will have the opportunity to have a great social life, get involved in a lot of campus organizations, and go to lots of fraternity parties no matter which house you join. Trust me.

From an actual insider - DDD was one of the first to get a new sorority house, so for a few years this gave them an advantage over the rest of Old Row. Now that everyone has mansions it’s leveled the playing field again. From MY perspective (argue all you want but I’m in an OR house), the houses that usually get the girls on the first page of their bid list are AXO, PM, KKG and XO. Those four don’t go after the same girls, they pull from different areas and have different priorities (grades, looks, party, family). You’d be surprised, but DDD and KD lose a lot of their top girls to those 4. Now for the arguments from old moms that graduated 30 years ago. Go!

. DDD appeals to some laid back girls from out of state, status conscious girls from tx who wouldn’t be ddd at home, and a mix of instate who can be cliquey and rude. There is also a faction that is artsy and likable. There is a real mix at tri delt.
There is not a mix at KD. Everyone here is concerned about status and they do not participate in Greek events bc they are not joiners as a whole. Tons of cliques here, lots of randoms from out of state, and middle class in state trying to fit with the wealthy ones. The two do not mix socially which is sad. A few joiners but they are the minority.
Just being honest.
