question about letters of recommendation
by: QuestionNew here and need to know if you have to get recommendations to get a bid. I have heard not really and also that I need to get them. I'm out of state but have great grades and activities.

I suggest getting at least one if not two rec letters. The best way to get a rec letter would be to contact old bosses, post on Facebook, neighbors, family friends, etc to find an alum. The way I would describe the importance of a rec letter would be that is the cherry on top. To have a member of that sorority speak on your behalf looks amazing. Highly recommend getting rec letters, but if you have troubles finding one for each house, do not stress about it!

Worst advice ever. Get a rec for every damn house if you want a chance at them. If you can’t find an alum for certain houses, reach out to their alumni group and someone will help you.
Not getting refs for every house is lazy and will guarantee you a bid from DZ.
