They've been told by the university that they're going to lose their house next year if they can't fill it, but hardly any of their members want to live in. And if they lose their house, their national will probably shut them down. They're already not very supportive because they're low-key embarrassed to have such a weak chapter at Alabama. The chapter alumnae are pretty much the only reason they haven't already folded.
They were actually growing for a while, and at one point it looked like they might get enough members to move into one of the swing houses, but Sigma Kappa coming back basically killed their momentum.
Unfortunately, most PNMs just aren't looking for an alternative-type chapter. ADX is struggling too, and Kappa Beta Gamma folded after less than a year.

SDT is a fine, smaller sorority which has chosen over the years to recruit at a separate time than the rest of the NPC sororities. They usually hold recruitment events about a week or two after formal recruitment - they do put up posters and put it on their Facebook page and Instagram accounts, so watch for them if you're interested. They have around 80 members after their recruitment. Very strong, close group. They have the same types of events (swaps, forma and semi-formal parties, philanthrophy projects) that the other sororities have. They have a small univesity-owned house (on Jefferson near the fraterntieis, as stated earlier) but no meals are served there, so it's MUCH more economical (and they don't have to have lots of members to help pay the bills).
