question about rush
by: pnmAlrighty.. so what I’m wondering is, even if I don’t know any girls here, is it possible for me to get into an “old row” house if I have great grades, decent resume, and am average or maybe below average appearance wise (still put together though)? I know I’m not as great as some of the Southern girls here, but I really would like to be in a house that is more Southern because Ive always wanted to experience and be apart of that lifestyle, if that makes sense.

You are coming to the University of Alabama. There will be plenty of Southern-ness for you everywhere and in every single house. Wait until recruitment and meet the actives before you decide what you think you want.

You can't possibly do that on here. This site has a lot of random and disreputable stuff on it, and besides that you can't go through recruitment on line. We have recruitment in person and a lot of finding your home will be about the sororities choosing you, not the other way around.

This is all stuff to talk to your rho chi about. Anyone on this website is going to troll you or criticize you. This site makes it seem like old row houses are the only good ones. Go into rush with an open mind and you'll find the best house for you.

Yeah it was hard to articulate what I’m thinking lol. I just mean like I’ve been around people from the North my whole life and I want to be around something different than that
