2.96

I have a 2.96 but went to a very hard high school in the north. will I be dropped?

The part about being from up north will probably hurt you more. Maybe not as much as for new row houses, and 1 or 2 old row houses, but the rest of old row and 1st circle sororities typically don't extend bids to northern girls. But I don't know you personally. Hopefully the GPA won't hurt you as much as you might be worried about. Hope you enjoy rush and UA!!,

Where'd you get that? Cuts first are for grades, and many groups don't even look at less than a 3.0. Most sororities pledge northerners...a couple pledge way less than most, but that's about the fourth or fifth thing on the list.
Listen rush2345, this is why we tell PNMs to get recs. This gives your sponsor a chance to explain what went into your 2.96 and how difficult your school is.
Yes, you will be dropped by a number of groups. But concentrate on the groups that invite you back. Remember, you can only pledge one group.
