I was wondering the same thing. All the girls in greek chic are wearing solid colors?

Yeah, I don't get all the posts about solid and print dresses. I just didn't get this hung up on such details when I rushed and I got a bid from my #1 choice. I'm not necessarily referring to this posts when I say this, but it's like all northern girls in earlier posts have NO clue on classy and appropriate dress. Southern girls are just raised knowing what is appropriate and what's not. Also, greek chic is made for a reason, use it and your main guide for rush

As far as this post is concerned, yes you can wear that if you want, but no you don't have to. Don't listen to all the rumors you hear or everything you read on here! Use greek chic instead! Rush is an experience of a lifetime, so just be yourself and have fun.

Did you actually just say Northern girls have no clue on "classy and appropriate"? Did it ever register in your small minded brain, that the weather and environment play a large portion of that? Did it ever occur to you that maybe wearing dresses that look like our grandmothers isnt something that appeals to us? Or that pastel dresses look ridiculous up here. Maybe you should let ALL of the fashion houses in Chicagoe and New York know that we have no idea how to dress. Maybe, if they are really wise they will all consider moving all the fashion shows and fashion magiazines to Alabama. So they can get fashion advice from the sorority girls at Alabama. LOL. Get real.

She said all northern girls in "earlier posts", not all northern girls...

That was a little mean. The original post that made you upset did not appear to list anyone's name nor did it seem to be directed toward one specific person. No one even knows who wrote it, and no one knows who you are either. Maybe take a deep breath and try not to get upset about silly comments from anonymous people.
Hmm, perhaps this is what the original comment was referring to when it implied northern girls struggle with "appropriate" and "classy"

the North and I wear pastels. Honestly, I won't lie, southern girls dress better. In Alabama, girls try a lot harder to look put together everyday. It's not so much how it is up north. Not saying we aren't pretty or can't look put together everyday, it's just the culture for women here to always look like beauty queens.

That was really sweet of you to say that! And I completely agree, it is mainly cultural differences.

Yes, being from a suburb of New York, I agree that we struggle with that. We should all learn to post girls names on here to tarnish their chances of recruitment, post arrests or slam other greek chapters (especially new ones trying to get started). That is much more "classy and appropriate". We should all strive to be "classy and appropriate" like that.

Women's rights are an essential part of the overall human rights agenda.
