Girls who care about more than themselves and getting drunk all the time.

Bonding playing basketball, making signs, cheering each other on, being involved. Some of these may party hard, but at least they are participating in Greek events.

You make yourself very clear.

@really you idiot - the comment says they are girls who care about MORE than partying and themselves, etc

Of course Kappa and KD won’t participate. Gotta love the bonds of sisterhood!

I love how Derby Days and Greek Week are the epitome of involvement for some of y’all. Never mind the fact that both houses have girls in honors societies, on Pan X this year, in SGA, the first year council, etc. (so many other organizations). Honestly I think they should be more active with Greek week but it’s not the end all be all. Sigma Chi probably barely supports a lot of sororities’ philanthropies, not to mention some of the competitions have been somewhat degrading in the past. One or two houses (not naming names) make the whole thing about getting the guys’ attention and playing dirty. I don’t blame either house, or Theta for not participating. My house still does but we’re not one that’s particularly close with ΣΧ in general and the ones that are honestly suck the fun out of it and make it petty. Just saying.

Not a big fan of derby days as a whole... it’s for a great cause obviously and my house does it to save face but we almost voted against doing it last year. A whole week spent doing sigma chi’s fundraising for them when they don’t even support our philanthropy one or two days a year? No thanks.

This is bad info. The winning sorority receives thousands of dollars for their OWN philanthropy plus it’s a lot of fun to bond with your sisters bc that doesn’t happen much with everyone so busy.

Derby days are a fun tradition at most schools. The sororities doing well aren’t the party ones so your point is kinda missing. These are some of the most involved chapters.

Most of the girls I know like it bc they get to bond and do fun events. They are not in it for the boys.

I hate that KD and kappa don’t do more as a group. They are missing out. And I know there are members who wish that was different but they are outnumbered
