by: ftgyhjcdklscan someone give me a brief description of each top tier sorority....like types of girls etc. (Phi Mu, tri delt, kappa, kd, alpha chi, and chi o)

Alpha Chi and Phi Mu: Known for looks, grades, and involvement. Phi Mu has the edge on looks and AXO has the edge on grades. AXO also has a stereotype for being religious and slightly prudish. Phi Mu is probably the most open of the Old Row houses to out-of-state PNMs.
KD, Kappa, and Tri Delt: Old-money debutante types. Family wealth, zip code, and social prominence/connections matter. Party rep, especially Kappa and KD. Kappa is more open to OOS than the other two and, IMO, has the prettiest girls of the three.
Alpha Gam: Smart, sweet, involved, girls from good families. Second in grades to AXO and a multiple winner of the Most Outstanding Sorority award. Stereotypically the least attractive of the Old Row houses, but the last few years they've gotten some gorgeous girls. Hard to get into if you're OOS. Rich tradition and longstanding ties to the Bryant family.
Chi O: Perhaps the most well-rounded Old Row house. Excellent balance of grades, looks, involvement, class, and fun.

from a guy who is in a new row fraternity most of these are in fact the best on campus. There are two or three new row sororities worth looking at as well but in my experience these are the best, with the exception of KD, they probably are really good but I have no clue since they wont have anything to do with us
