Came for parents weekend and it’s true I’ve spent Nearly $8,000.00 and my DD has never seen anything but the first floor. They didnt let my husband or I past the first floor. Either. My DD loved a new row house and I pushed for her to go old row because everything you all. wrote here. Seriously someone wrote the exact houses you needed to go to “win at rush” I thought I was being told what my DD needed to do so she wasn’t miserable. No my DD is in a sorority were the most popular girls are killing animals and proudly posting pictures with this poor deers head being held up by the antlers smiling like a killer and all the old row girls congratulating her. Stop with the agenda. All you Alabama moms know what is good if you are from here. You don’t need to promote any house here and certainly don’t need to make moms think their kid is a loser

Dear “Mom”,
One- men are not allowed on upper floors unless it’s move in day. Period.
Two- most girls are not allowed on upper floors unless they live on that floor. Hello? It’s called privacy and it prevents things from being taken. There are 400 girls in each house. There are also thieves in each house. The upper floors are for boarders. New row and old row alike. The only time you can go upstairs is if you’re with a house girl.
Three- didn’t she get initiated? Most girls do get to stay in the house during that weekend. Sorry she missed out. If this is even a real “mom”.
Three- most houses do tours of one or two rooms during parents weekend or on bid day, for a short amount of time. Again, women only.
Last- just stop. If you want your daughter to experience the upper flooors, she will either have to make friends with in-house girls or live in-house.

That’s not true a lot of the houses welcome all of their members and have not only outside decks on the upper levels for them to enjoy but study rooms as well. Enough with the police state. This is college it’s an overall experience. Sad that this presents particular houses have thieves

Just a bunch of bs. There are only about 5 houses that do this and we can name names. Again that’s why Zeta is filled with gorgeous girls. These old row houses are run by alums and advisors who act like this is high school which in most cases it is. At most universities alum are never allowed the run of these places and it’s actually against bylaws for anyone but actual collegians members to be involved in recruitment, voting, being on the floor or making the lists. This place will eventually get stuck following the rules like everyone else but they have the machine where they actually tell the members who they have to vote for.
