It is the golden rule that at LEAST 1/3 pledges get dropped from EVERY single pledge class.

First, you get naked.
Then, the bros herd all the pledges into a small group in the party room. All the bros stand around the perimeter, with the pledges in the middle. The pledge trainer coats a volleyball in black paint. The bros, wearing latex gloves, throw the ball as hard as they can into the group.
This goes on for about 3 to 5 minutes, with the pledge trainer re-coating the ball with paint every minute or two. Then 3 bros, with the pledge trainer, inspect all the pledges. Any pledge who could not successfully protect his private parts during this torture is relieved of his pledgeship.
That's the true origin of the term "blackball," and the true reason the white fraternities cannot pledge black men.
