kinda stupid question
by: pnmis it “wrong” to tell your rec letter writer that you’re really interested in joining her sorority?
#1 by: Not at all
I don't know why you think that would be wrong. Rec writers like to know that they aren't wasting their time and effort by just helping you check off an item on the list of recs you need to get. If she believes your interest is sincere, she might give your rec a little more thought and attention, and also communicate your interest to the sorority. When you go through recruitment and are genuinely interested in a house, you do want to let them know. When it's hard for actives to get a read on how a pnm really feels about them, they are less likely to ask her back.
#3 by: Depends
Do you know girls that are in that house? Or, are you going by this site’s rankings ( which are mostly true, but with 400 + girls, the margins are closer than you think and the houses are more similar than different)? Or, are you really into that sorority’s philanthropy? There has to be a legitimate reason to want a house. Going by greekrank isn’t a legitimate reason.
