I would say that it doesn’t really matter how high your gpa is as long as it’s over a 3.2. Having a 3.9 won’t get you further than a girl with a 3.4

I agree. Having a good GPA will take you places but it’s also about your involvement, and if you can hold a good convo

Had over a 4.0 and go dropped from what people would consider “top houses”. Gpa only comes into effect it it’s too low are you are automatic grade drop

I had a 3.8 average from the northeast and got cut from almost all top houses. A decent GPA is all you need

You have the grades, so now make sure you have RIFs and letters for each sorority. So many girls go through rush here that every sorority has to make cuts. If you have your RIFs in, then the sororities will know who you are before rush and that will help. Do not pay attention to tiers and old row vs new row. It’s really stupid and only matters if you are from Bham. (really only matters to the moms) The sororities here are amazing with gorgeous houses and great girls and besides, “top” is subjective here. Good luck and RTR!! You will love it!!!

Ahem.

“Rank” or “old row” matters far too much to far too many people far beyond just birmingham alabama. It is a southeastern region thing imo.

Grades are just one factor and how much it matters just depends on who is doing the looking
