How important is Preview Weekend and the pre-recruitment parties the sororities have? If you don't go/ don't get invited to any will you still have a shot for recruitment? Because its hard to attend these from out of state

I've been wondering the same thing. I didn't decide to do recruitment until May, so I missed out

I was in the same boat as I went through rush last year. Honestly, it certainly HELPS a lot and will make your chances of getting a bid greater during rush. However, I still had a pretty good rush...so it will not hurt you...but it could have helped you out a lot.

I don't think it determines whether you get a bid or not as long as you are willing to accept a bid from any sorority.
