i want to rush but i just dont know

Greek life here is very different from other schools maybe up north or out west... it’s a prestige almost. You miss out on SO MUCH if you are not in greek life, but at the same time, it’s almost paying to be apart of something just to be apart of it. I personally have made a good friend group inside my sorority. I don’t know every girl in my pledge class, nevermind my whole house. This is what really makes being in a sorority here difficult. I have friends who go to schools where pledge classes can be 30-40 girls or even 70-80. Here, having pledge classes closing in on almost 130 girls is different. You don’t get close to everyone. You certainly don’t feel like you’re great “sisters”. Essentially greek life here is a social status thing... it’s also just a social thing. Swaps and date parties and events are fun things to do. Just keep in mind if you really want to be super close with your sisters, greek life here may not be the best option.

@If we’re being honest.... Thanks for such a nice and honest answer. I LOVE my house and so do most of my sisters. My friends in other houses feel the same way about their houses.

Legit no one talks about greekrank and 75% of people on here are trolls so dont base ur opinion on this site bc it’s not really that tru/ good representation of greek life

Look at your own greek friends. Are they catty and two-faced? No? Then this forum is incorrect. Ignore this forum. You know REAL LIFE ALABAMA GREEKS and that counts for more than reading anonymous, trolled responses here. Your greek friends know many of the REAL reasons for joining a fraternal home.

I'm in my 3rd year in my house and can honestly say I rarely ever post on this site, it's something I just check when I'm bored. This is true for other girls in my house too. A lot of people will check it just out of curiosity but no one takes it seriously or talks about it in real life. The negative ridiculous comments are all the same few people posting.
