Yes i love that girl^^^^ but yes, phi mu takes lots of northern girls (New Jersey, Chicago, Pennsylvania...you name it!)

Phi Mu is the one old row sorority that has done a great job of including northerners. We know this so we focus more attention on getting recs for them and new row. We know our odds on other old row. And they have EVERY right to recruit the girls they want. We just dont spend so much time trying to get in.

Phi mu has beautiful girls from all over that is what's so great about them they are old row which normally only take southern girls but they are smart enough to include the best and most beautiful northern girls..a lot of the other sororities will say Phi Mu is the rich stuck up girls ..Phi Mu is known for having the most beautiful classiest girls period..

I totally agree. There were only 3 old row houses that I even bothered getting recs for. Phi Mu was one of them. In last years pledge class they had over 30 girls from the north and not just one state. They have shown how to keep tradition while still realizing that OOS girls are now the majority of the school. Rather than did by tradition, they have managed to do both. That's why the other old row gets the chubby, homely Alabama/Southern girls.

Phi Mu may not be that good outside the South, but it's also a top house at Auburn, UGA, and Tennessee and a respectable middle house at LSU, Ole Miss, and MS State.

I cut them for that reason. In my home state they are the very bottom house. They've already folded at two universities and can't make quota at another. The girls I met here were fine, but I didn't want to commit to living in Alabama forever just so I wouldn't be ostracized.

That is the big problem with Phi Mu. They are not even that respectable outside of Alabama. Somebody said they were top house at UGA which is a lie. Auburn - top tier MAYBE but not top house. Terrible at Ole Miss and Miss St.

Phi mu is hurting themselves in the long run by giving bids to so many yanks. Old row boys do not want to hang out with northern girls and old row fraternities, with their alum, run this campus. No offense but it is the honest truth about how it is and aways will be here. Right now though, phi mu is great, just lay off the liberal yanks. But if you are from oos you will be fine. Most old row girls are classy and so they only give bids to southern girls, which you said you were so don't worry about it.

Phi Mus are pretty but upper middle class at best. Everyone knows the truly wealthy girls go KD, Kappa, and Tri Delt.
