Do the old row fraternities take kindly to kids from the mid Atlantic region that are interested?

if you "fit in" with them they would will not care, but keep in mind old row is stiffer competition for spots

keep in mind I am stressing the words fit in, it is important

potential new boy, Yes, old row would like to meet you. Possibly excepting KA(although they have some guys from VA), don't listen to all the new row buulschit on this site. They say that "old row is all filled up" or "no way old row will take you" to have you rush over there. Honestly, they need pledges. We pick ours. Do yourself a favor and check out houses from both rows. Do a gut check and see where it feels right. I did and i'm damn glad.
