Register early, be proactive early. Frat rush basically already over when formal period begins. Get meetups with rush chairs at bbound.

Fraternity rush is pretty much a joke here. Basically hook up with rush chair and a couple other guys during Bama Bound. They'll take you out drinking, smoking, etc. and if they like you you'll get a bid. If you wait until formal rush, you'll only have smaller fraternities left to bid which some are still decent though.

My suggestion is to NOT look at rankings on here as most of them are totally wrong which you'll soon discover once you are here and learn more about each house.
