There are so many amazing options up for HC queen this year, please read the full statement from them before you vote.
Your vote is so powerful so please vote for someone who embodies your values and represents change you want to see on this campus!
Please most of all do not blind vote for who your friends, sorority, etc told you to vote for. use your voice to make a change

Isn't this a little over dramatic? How does the homecoming queen even matter? What kind of "change" could this bring campus? The winner will garner personal and sorority bragging rights for being pretty and popular. Good for her. Not exactly ground-breaking. If a minority wins, well there have been minority winners before. What's the big deal?

Let's be clear, this isn't about homecoming, a popularity contest or even who is prettiest. This is about the machine. Just say it like it is.
That said, I agree with the sentiment. Vote how YOU want to vote, not how somebody tells you. Same goes for voting anywhere for anything.
