sk and machine
by: RtrSo do you think SK will affiliate with the Machine or remain unaffiliated like Theta?

It depends on future leadership of the chapter, if they accept the offer when it's extended. My bet is, their national organization encourages them not to affiliate and cites a rule against sub-rosa involvement by the chapter. Most Machine houses have been members for decades and are beyond the grasps of their national organization over such petty rules. Sigma Kappa will be bound by their nationals for a handful of years, until alumni can start cutting checks.

DZ is affiliated and theta received an invite years ago that they chose not to accept. It shouldn’t be a surprise that these houses are involved, the machine needs as many voters as possible. It’s not about popularity at this point it’s just a numbers game.
As for SK, it just depends on their nationals which I don’t really know anything about. They could be like GPhi’s nationals, who were more than willing to let them join to get them out of the rut, or they could be reluctant. Would probably be better for their rep to join but who knows.
