anyone else

by: unhappy

Is anyone else struggling to be happy here? Im a freshman I have a great sorority and amazing friends who I love, I go out and try to make the most of every opportunity to get involved. I go to class and try my best but for some reason when my head hits the pillow at night I’m sad. Or in any down time. Not sure how this is possible. This school is amazing and has everything to offer

All freshmen who come from loving, close-knit homes feel a little lonely for the first semester or so. Even the ones who tell you they're loving school and having a great time being away from home will feel homesick from time to time. I called my mom every day for the entire first semester and part of second. Eventually I stopped. Give your mom a call and see if that makes you feel better. Pan love!

You are going through a lot of transition. Love yourself for being bold enough to go away for college and appreciate your new experiences... but realize NEW can be overwhelmung and a little lonely at first, especially if you left behind great family and friends. You will feel better soon. Added benefit, you'll be a much stronger person after graduation!

You are saying the exact same things I remember thinking freshman year. Love yourself, forgive yourself, and focus on the positive. I cried every night for my first few weeks here but you would never know based on how I portrayed myself to the world. You aren't alone, what you're feeling is totally normal. What really helped me was staying off insta and snap for a while, all it did was make me compare my worst moments to other people's best moments, which is crazy and illogical in hindsight!
