I don't know if this person is lying or not but this is a legit problem at Bama. The old row isn't for everyone and the oos girls really do usually feel a little left out.

I'm an out of state (FAR OOS) girl, and I love my sorority and have lots of friends. I don't feel like a filler in the least. Sorry you weren't able to be social and make friends with one of your 130+ Pledge class.

Over 1/3 of the girls on my OR house's exec are from OOS and several are from OOR. Not sure how you could say they feel left out since they were voted into their positions by everyone else in the house.

its been like a week. they're not cliques they're friends. Half the time most girls at the house at meals don't know you're new because to be honest I'm a junior and still don't even know all of the faces of the junior and senior pcs. You haven't even had your first swap yet. It has nothing to do with being old row. and no I'm not old row.

It probably does hurt a lot for people to criticize your sorority. Here's an idea though. Why don't you look at this as a wake up call and get to know your oos new girls and make them feel more comfortable. Just a suggestion.

This is the same old formula that people use when they want to come on here to try to bash OR sororities. It's too predictable. No new members are going on greekrank to say how bad their new sororities are; it's actually kind of funny to think that people would believe this enough to make these posts and comments. I guess it makes people with no lives feel like they are getting the attention they need.

I was in the same situation and still don't feel completely welcome in my house two years later. I have made a friends but this will be my last semester after football season. I think new girls are coming on here because they don't know where else to go and being anonymous it keeps them from being targeted in their house. It is a horrible feeling to "win" at rush and then realize your prize kind of sucks. I feel taken advantage of by the ruling class in my house and I have friends who feel the same way. It's not all that unusual and I don't think this is a troll post. I don't think it is an OR only thing but it IS a thing in my OR house.
