sleeping porches

I don’t think my house has any rules about bringing female friends upstairs and they’re definitely allowed in our basement (and guys can go in the basement too)

@ :(, I know in my house while other girls can come upstairs they aren’t allowed to sleep over at the house. If you have friends that come visit you will almost definitely have friends who aren’t living in the house who you can have your friends stay with

what is a swing house?

The swing houses are the older houses that sororities live in for a year or two while they wait for their new houses to be build. The old AGD and ADPi houses are the swing houses and KD, KKG, Phi Mu, Zeta, DZ, and AOPi have all lived in one of them for a while and Theta and SK will be in them this year

probably not. there really isnt any room for them to sleep anyways unless they bring an air mattress... you'd have to ask your house mom once youre in a sorority but i assume they'll say no.

In my house you can have a girl stay for the night or weekend as long as our house mom knows, they sign waivers that the guest is the responsibility of the active, and the roommate is ok with it. I know a lot of girls who had a sister and their friend come and visit. The rules are so strict regarding if they get caught drinking anything ( immediate dismissal) most of the time their night consists of a movie night in the common room.

Huge liability to have non-member girls staying in the house, that's why there are forms/agreements involved. If you don't follow your house rules on this you can get kicked out.

Who cares. I imagine lots of people come on to our site to ask questions because it's probably one of the most active schools on greek rank. You came on our site and you don't go here...kind of proves the whole point!

So if you're an Alabama active, why did you post the same thing on Oklahoma's site, then post almost the exact same defense when someone pointed it out? It took me all of 15 seconds to pop over there and read what #3 was talking about.

The one aopi is in, alpha gam’s original house, does in a way. They’re divided up to be smaller (I think four on each floor maybe?) but they’re there. I’m not sure aopi used them that way but that was the original intention. The last house that had big traditional sleeping porches was Tri Delt’s round house

aopis swing house did use their mini sleeping porches but they also had a room that two girls would share for their clothes and makeup which also had a couch that some girls would sleep on

Yep that’s generally how sleeping porches go, two girls have a room with closets and desks and a bed or couch for hanging out and then they sleep on the porch

Right. That’s why Phi Mu started (and still keeps) their house tour. I think they were the only one that had bedrooms instead of sleeping porches before the re-build.
